In a world moving faster, louder and more urgent, we found ourselves looking the other way. Toward stillness. Toward nature and quietness. Nothing but the sound of nature.

That is how we ended up at Zandwacht, a temporary concrete sculpture set between the beach and the dunes of the Maasvlakte coast, shaped by the way wind lifts sand into the air, carries it along, and lets it come to rest.
